Downtown Lexington Corporation (DLC), is a membership organization that represents the largest businesses, the smallest proprietors and entrepreneurs, negihborhood associations, churches, educational institutions, and individuals. DLC is a community and business advocacy group founded in 1988. DLC encourages responsible economic development in the downtown business core and in the various neighborhoods surrounding this central area. Downtown Lexington is the center of our community--a living and working area that is growing and thriving. Our mission is to promote Downtown as a unique and vibrant place in Lexington for business, residential life, and entertainment. The staff of DLC is involved in many committees and task forces and work to create positive change for our city. Additionally, DLC sponsors several annual events. Some of these events include Mayfest, Best of the Bluegrass, the Christmas Parade and Summer in the City which includes; Central Bank Thursday Night Live, Street Scene and Artist's Market.

The Lexington Farmers' market is member-owned agricultural cooperative. We currently have over 65 members and are still growing. All of our members reside in Kentucky and many of them are 100% home-growers. All of our products are labeled so you know exactly how local they are! The Lexington Farmers' Market is proud to offer the highest quality vegetables, fruits, eggs, meats, cheese, homebaked items, jams and jellies, plants and more. We also have specialty items like coffees, chocolates, olive oil, dog treats and soaps. With ready to eat food on site on Saturday, and live music every week, the Lexington Farmers' Market is an enjoyable place to shop for all your local food needs.

The purpose of Seedleaf is to increase the amount, affordability, nutritional value, and sustainability of food available to people at risk of hunger in Central Kentucky. We do this by installing and maintaining urban gardens, and by offering workshops for child and adult gardeners. Contact us if you'd like to volunteer with us , if you'd like help designing or installing a garden, or if you'd like to participate in one of our workshops.
